It was a parade of hits for Cecil Almond of the U.S. Coast Guard Bears at Smash Ballpark.

Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Almond finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 7 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Bears to a win, 21-12.

"Almond was really good and we were really bad," groaned Hops manager Claudio Nieves. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him."

Cecil Almond singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off José Rangel in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, hit a two-run single in the 8th and flied out in the 8th.

This season, Almond is batting at a .427 clip with 12 home runs and 38 RBIs.
