Frederick's Isfahani to Miss Season Tuesday, May 29th , 2063 Riaz Isfahani of the Travelers just might have to call it quits for the season. The 24-year-old Frederick reliever received a possible season-ending injury against the Sioux City Xplorers recently at Sioux City Stadium. Isfahani suffered a torn rotator cuff while throwing a pitch. The Travelers medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 5 months. This season, Isfahani has made 11 relief appearances with no saves. In 11 innings he has fanned 14 hitters and recorded 2 wins and 2 losses with a 4.91 ERA. |
