Rodgers Smacks 3 Out of the Park Saturday, February 10th , 2052 The Auckland Black Sox knocked off the Consol Energy 21-9 today in spite of a fantastic performance by Energy catcher Andrew Rodgers, who Rodgers drilled three home runs but couldn't bring home the victory. "It's like going to the prom with the prettiest girl in school, having a great time, but then not getting a good night kiss," Rodgers said later. Rodgers finished the day with 4 hits in 4 at-bats, 6 RBI and 4 runs scored. Andrew Rodgers hit a three-run home run off Warner Aikens in the 1st, walked in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off José Villanueva in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Alejandro McCann in the 9th. Thus far this year Rodgers is hitting .262 with 11 home runs, 26 RBIs and 28 runs scored. |
