Newman Belts 5 Hits Monday, February 10th , 2059 Iván Newman of the U.S. Navy Midshipmen outhit everybody on the field at Charlotte College Fields, but it was all for naught. Even as Newman personally tore up the Schlitz Tallboys with a 5-for-6 day, the Tallboys were sending his Midshipmen down to defeat, 13-10. Iván Newman singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Greg Beverly in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off José Morán in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
