Thursday, April 7th , 2061
At the age of 18, Cornelio Martínez says he still has a lot to learn about life in College Conference All-Stars.
But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the Google Searchers reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2061 Rockefeller League Reliever of the Year Award.
"I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the Missoula, Montana native said.
For the season, Martínez had 9 saves in 20 relief appearances, which totaled 33.1. He fanned 55 betters, while walking 5 and put up a record of 3-2 to go with his 1.62 ERA.
He received 32 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Kirk Redding of the U.S. Air Force Falcons finished second in voting, while Pedro Peña of the Lincoln Continentals finished third.
