Razors Stop Ralli at 24
Friday, January 27th , 2062
Maybe it really is taboo to talk about a hitting streak before it's over. Hours after speaking to the press about his 24-game hitting streak, General Mills first baseman Leone Ralli went hitless in 4 at-bats at Field of the Red Dogs.
The sudden hitting drought came as the Lucky Charms snagged the 4-1 win over the Gillette Razors.
"Nope, it's not magic," Ralli said in his postgame press conference. "Nobody jinxed me. Streaks don't last forever. I've heard about it every day for weeks now. My roomie told me to get a hit before every game and wished me luck. I just ran out of hits."
So far this year, Ralli is hitting .336 with 7 home runs.
