Drillers Crowned Kings of the Rockefeller League Richard Branson Division Wednesday, February 22nd , 2062 The Gulf Oil Drillers clubhouse more closely resembled a college party tonight as the team officially captured the Rockefeller League Richard Branson Division. Laughter abounded and loud music blared as players and coaches alike celebrated the accomplishment. "It's not often you get to kick back and let loose with your teammates," said center fielder Terry McKinley. "We've earned the right to party a little bit. And then we can focus on getting it done in the playoffs." Team manager Robby Brown said even the coaching staff can enjoy occasions like this. "I'm proud of my guys, they deserve this," he said. It's the 7th division championship for the team, and they will be seeking their 1st College Conference All-Stars championship. |
