Parker Raps U.S. Navy for 5 Hits Thursday, February 23rd , 2062 After a 5-hit effort to lead Marriott's 27-9 victory over the U.S. Navy Midshipmen, left fielder Rubén Parker told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day." "It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the College Conference All-Stars-level is really something special." The 20-year-old player earned his accolades at Smash Ballpark with a spectacular 5-for-6 game against the Midshipmen. "His swing is getting there," said Hops skipper Claudio Nieves, who spoke glowingly of Parker after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Rubén did that to perfection." Rubén Parker struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, walked in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and singled in the 8th.
