Coates Pops 3 Out of the Park Against Tigers Sunday, February 26th , 2062 Every now and then, everything just comes together. Dave Coates discovered that today at Conneaut College Grounds, as he smashed three home runs during the 20-10 Kodak Snappers win over the Kellogg Tigers. "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," the Kodak first baseman said in his postgame interview. "The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it." Coates, who is tied for 10th in the RCK in bases on balls with 46, finished the day with 5 hits in 5 at-bats and 7 RBIs. Dave Coates hit a solo-shot off Carlos Averett in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Carlos Averett in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, walked in a run in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Tsugumichi Murakami in the 8th. Coates on the season is hitting .397 with 30 home runs. His stats include 68 RBIs and 53 runs scored. |
