Gold Cruise to Round 2 with Sweep Sunday, March 5th , 2062 Greg Girard said he expected the Round 1 to be "a battle from start to finish." In the end, it was nothing more than a minor skirmish, as the Chevron Gold encountered little resistance in sweeping the Kodak Snappers, to advance to the Round 2. "It may have been a sweep, but it still was a tough series," said Girard. Chevron won the final game by a 9-2 count and were led in the series by Girard, who was named MVP. On the series, he hit .444 with 3 home runs. He also drove in 6 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Chevron Gold don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Lincoln Continentals - Gulf Oil Drillers series. Lincoln leads the series 2 games to 1. The Round 2 is scheduled to begin on March 10th , 2062.
