Lincoln Takes Round 1 in Deciding Game Thursday, March 9th , 2062 In an exciting Round 1 that had its fair share of drama and intrigue, perhaps it is College Conference All-Stars fans who have come out the winner. But on the field, the winners were the Lincoln Continentals, who edged the Gulf Oil Drillers 4-3 to advance to the Round 2. Lincoln won the final game by a 11-4 count to wrap up the series. Anthony Gilley earned series MVP honors, by hitting .467 with a .529 on-base percentage. He had 4 home runs, drove in 8 RBI and scored 9 runs. The Lincoln Continentals will play against the Chevron Gold in the next round. Chevron won their series against the Kodak Snappers 4 games to 0.
