Newsom Stretches Hit String to 33 Thursday, February 15th , 2063 Everett Newsom, first baseman for the Anheiser-Busch Budweisers, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 33 games with 5 hits in his club's 25-12 victory over the Lincoln Continentals at Ballpark of Greensboro College.
