Delgado Hits 3 Homers Against U.S. Coast Guard Friday, February 16th , 2063 Vicente Delgado went on an explosive hitting spree against the U.S. Coast Guard Bears at Ballpark of Saint Petersburg College, launching a trio of blasts to help the Netflix Streamers win, 21-7. The left fielder finished 4-for-6 with 4 runs scored and 5 runs batted in. "It was just one of those days," Delgado said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." U.S. Coast Guard skipper Pedro Cantú said Delgado was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Vicente Delgado doubled in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Arlen McClain in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Luke Marshall in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Jorge Contreras in the 5th, struck out in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. Thus far this year, Delgado is batting .300 with 5 home runs, 7 RBIs and 7 runs scored. |
