Hitting Streak Still Alive for Hernández
Sunday, February 18th , 2063
The Shiner Wild Hares may have proven to be mere mortals as they lost, 6-5, to the U.S. Air Force Falcons, but Rafael Hernández continued to hit like a god.
The first baseman collected 2 hits in 5 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games.
"Hernández is playing great and is on fire right now," Wild Hares manager Anastasio Alonso said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins."
Hernández was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Rafael Hernández struck out in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, struck out in the 8th and singled in the 10th.
In 43 games Hernández is hitting .322 this season with 55 hits, 1 home run, 16 RBIs, 47 walks, .466 OBP and has scored 43 runs.
