Gómez Cracks 5 Hits Wednesday, February 21st , 2063 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Roberto Gómez -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Red Jackets Ballpark and paced the 19-4 Blue Ribbons win over the General Mills Lucky Charms. After his dynamite batting performance, the Pabst third baseman told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Roberto Gómez struck out in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off António Romero in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, walked in a run in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
